A special fundraising 'Santa Run' in Whitland is to bring some festive cheer to the town as well as pupils of the local primary school.

The Santa Run which will start at the The Fishers Arms, and head down to St Johns Street, before going by the Fire Station and back up St Mary's past the Police Station and the school, then returning to the pub, is to raise funds for a new keyboard for pupils at Whitland Primary School.

The organisers of the event have invited players from the Llanelli Scarlets to join in the fun, along with the Whitland rugby team, the town's firefighters, local councillors, business people and pupils of the school to join in the fun, with everyone encouraged to dress as Santa or anything Christmassy.

Entry fee for the run, which will commence at 3 pm on Sunday, December 11, will be £3 for adults and £1 for children.
