Rugby Club

Tonight (Friday), Whitland Youth play Ammanford Youth at Carmarthen Athletic RFC in the semi-final of the Webb Ellis Welsh Youth Cup, kick-off 7.15 pm.

On Wednesday, March 25, Whitland 2nd XV play Narberth 2nd XV in the Pembrokeshire Junior Union Cup at Whitland, kick-off 7.15 pm.

The next committee meeting is on Wednesday, April 1, at 7 pm.

On the social side, on Saturday, March 28, the Junior Borderers have Ian Richards in cabaret, tickets £5.

Ladies Sponsor Day, meanwhile, will be on Saturday, April 4, cost £10, with names to Jackie Phillips, Julie Smith at M.L. Davies, Jenny Bowen, Nerys Eynon-Rogers or Phil in the club. At 6 pm that evening there will be a Tip-it competition in aid of the ladies' rugby teams.

Meat draw

Winners of the Whitland Sports and Social Club meat draw this week were as follows: 1. £15 meat voucher - Peter Wilson; 2. £15 meat voucher - Georgie John; 3. two pints - Georgie John; 4. £10 - Dai Skyrme (not present).

Tomorrow (Saturday), the first three prizes will be the same again, with the fourth being £10 cash.

Cricket Club

Last week's winners of the 49 Club were Jane and Arwyn Thomas with number 24.

Pre-season nets start on Wednesday, April 1, 7 - 9 pm at Dyffryn Taf School, Whitland, and run for four weeks. A warm welcome to all.

Memorial Hall

Weightwatchers is held at the Memorial Hall every Monday evening from 6 pm.
