Twinning Association

Whitland Twinning Association will hold its annual general meeting at the Memorial Hall, Market Street, Whitland, on Tuesday, November 20, at 7.30 pm. Anyone with an interest in the association or who is a member of the association is invited to attend. New members are always welcome. Cricket Club

Last week's winner of the 49 Club was Mr. Colin John with number 27. The next committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 10, at Whitland RFC at 8 pm. Rugby Club

There are no league fixtures this weekend due to the quarter-finals of the World Cup which can all be seen live on the big screen. Fixtures for Sunday, October 7: Whitland Girls Under 17s are away to Llandaff North in their first league match of the season, while Whitland Ladies Senior XV are away to Neath in their second league match of the season. Sponsors: Whitland Ladies Section is sponsoring the home match on Saturday, October 13, when Cwmllynfell will be the visitors. The cost will be £10 to include a pre-match buffet, entry to the match, and entertainment which will be Helen Enser Morgan, top vocalist. Names to either Jenny Davies- Scourfield, Nerys Rogers, Julie (at M. L. Davies), Mrs. Monty, or to staff behind the bar at Whitland RFC. Entertainment: On Saturday, October 13, top vocalist Helen Enser Morgan will be performing at the clubhouse from 7.30 pm.
