MARTIN Doyle has been appointed as NatWest's Regional Agricultural Manager for Wales and the Borders.

A native of Whitland, Martin's main responsibility will be to lead a team of locally-based agricultural managers who provide specialist advice and guidance to rural and farming businesses in the area, as part of a full relationship service.

He will also be looking to support the link between agriculture and tourism in the area. Prior to this appointment, Martin was the area business manager for North Wales Borders and his career with the bank stems back 32 years.

Commenting on his new appointment, Martin said: "I am delighted to be appointed to lead the agricultural arm of NatWest in Wales.

"It's great to lead a highly regarded 'team' that provides a specialised, personal service to agricultural and rural businesses in the area and ensures that they can deal directly with a business manager who really understands their individual market place."

Welsh speaker Martin, who spent most of his career in Wales, is married and is a keen rugby follower.
