Coffee morning: You are invited to a coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan, so that everyone facing cancer can have a Macmillan team in their corner. The coffee morning is on Friday, October 31 (10 am - 12 noon) in the Whitland Memorial Hall (Market Street). This year's event organisers are the Inner Wheel Club of Narberth and Whitland. First World War Centenary Exhibition: The exhibition will be open to the public from Friday - Monday, November 14 - 17. Entry to this exhibition in the Memorial Hall is free. Remembrance service: There will be a laying of wreaths ceremony at the Memorial Hall on Sunday, November 9. This will be followed by a remembrance service in Llanboidy Church. Times to be confirmed.

Rock 'n' Roll: Learn how to Jive! Classes are back in Whitland Memorial Hall every Monday evening from 7 pm.

Whitland Works Well: The Whitland Job Club is every Tuesday in the Memorial Hall from 1.30 - 3.30 pm. Jobseekers can get support and advice on finding work. Run in partnership with other agencies (Job Centre Plus, Workways, 1 Sir Gâr, Career Wales, Debt and Benefit Advice, etc.), Whitland Works Well gives people in Whitland and surrounding areas the chance to meet others looking for work, build new contacts, share job hunting experiences and get advice on interview techniques, CVs and even volunteering opportunities. If you are looking for work (full-time or part-time), need help setting up your Universal Job Match account, want some advice on the benefits available if out of work or unable to work because of illness, injury or disability, then drop-in on Tuesday afternoon at the Memorial Hall. There is free computer and internet access for job searches and if you don't have a computer you can access your Universal Job Match Account for free using one of the club's computers. Training and confidence building workshops or signpost to agencies who can offer help and support in employment and career opportunities are also available. Bump to Baby: Are you pregnant or have a baby under 12 months? If that is the case, then the Bump to Baby Group will provide you with a great opportunity to meet with other Mums (or Mums to be) and benefit from their experience by exchanging ideas and tips. The sessions are organised by the local health visitor, Diana Beavan (tel. 01994240132), and Lynwen (tel. 07837396016) from Twf, who are on hand to offer advice. The group meets every Tuesday from 10 am.
