Whitland travelled away to face Tredegar in the newly-sponsored Konica Minolta Welsh Cup, last Saturday, and moved into the fourth round with a comfortable 31-0 victory, earning themselves a home draw on December 27, when Llanelli Wanderers will be the visitors.
Whitland opened their account in the first half when outside-half Aled Davies was successful with a penalty.
This was increased midway through the half when fullback Gavin Morris went over for an unconverted try.
Aled Davies also added another penalty to leave the half-time score 11-0 to the Borderers.
Again Davies extended Whitland's lead in the second half with his third penalty of the game, then Lee Glanville finished off a fluent move after being put in space by fellow centre Mike Buckingham, and touched down for his side's second try in the corner. This time fly-half Davies converted with a fine kick from the touchline.
Whitland extended their lead through a third try by second row Ben Armstrong, with replacement outside-half Scott Penny adding the two points.
Penny also banged over a further penalty to leave the full-time score 31-0 to Whitland.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Whitland return to league duties, with an away match at Tondu.
