As we were going to press yesterday (Thursday), Dyfed-Powys Police were continuing to investigate the discovery of a man's body in Whitland.

A post mortem carried out on the body recovered at the Old Pump House, Station Road, on Sunday, proved inconclusive.

Further forensic tests are now being carried out to ascertain the cause of death.

Following extensive enquiries carried out by the police, the circumstances surrounding the death are currently not being treated as suspicious.

Enquiries are continuing in an attempt to formally identify the deceased.
