The ladies White Horse Trophy Pairs Tournament took place last week and, thankfully, despite a strong wind, the day stayed fine and sunny. Kindly sponsored by Claire and Cos Pritchard Jones, of the White Horse Inn, Kilgetty, two groups played on a round robin basis, with the winners being Marion Evans and Lorna Bissell and Kath Blayney and Chris Haley, who contested the final. Marion and Lorna emerged successful and were presented with the White Horse Trophy and £50 each by Claire and son Henri. Kath and Chris as runners-up received £25 each. Ladies captain Kath Blayney thanked the sponsors, Diane Rigden for a splendid buffet, Brian Deeley for acting as barman, her husband Paul for organising the event and the ladies of the club for supporting the day.
