Manorbier Coast Rescue team were tasked to a report of a white flare with smoke off Manorbier Beach shortly before 3 pm last Thursday.

A thorough search of the area was carried out, but nothing untoward was found.

While investigations were ongoing, Castlemartin range were contacted and confirmed that they were firing flares in that area at that time and the characteristics matched.
