Whatever Floats Your Boat!... is the name of the open-air charity concert on Castle Hill, in aid of the Tenby Lifeboat, which is to take place on September 23. The bands 'Anthill' and 'Renthouse Groove' will be putting their heart and soul into a day of live music. The concert is free, with a voluntary collection taking place during the music.

The bands both hail from Pembrokeshire and are of the musical persuasion that hail 'infectious grooves 'til the break of dawn (or in this case 'til about 7 pm). Renthouse Groove are a confident young group who bring you a fresh, original blend of funk, soul, rock and r'n'b reminiscent of artists such as Stevie Wonder, James Brown and Jamiroquai, mixed with their youthful energy and creativity. On top are the soulful female vocals, influenced by the likes of Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone and Dusty Springfield... all brought to you in an addictively funky and groovin' style!

Renthouse Groove have played from Cardiff to Basingstoke, and have recently supported chart- topping group Unklejam. They never fail to get the crowd dancing to their '70s style and flair, with a colourful and energetic show.

Anthill are a band that formed in 1995 and enjoyed several years of successful gigs in Cardiff, Manchester, London and, of course, Pembrokeshire! They recently reformed in full (as described in our issue of July 6) and have a fresh new set of material, recently showcased at the Queen's Hall in Narberth, to an extremely appreciative crowd.

Anthill have always been in love with rhythmic, danceable music, and are influenced by many artists from Toots and the Maytals to Miles Davis. They have always put their own brand firmly on the sound, however, so it's best to turn up and hear the sound for yourself!

Let's keep the boat afloat!
