A Manx Shearwater is a nocturnal black and white sea bird about the size of a dove.
If you find a Manx Shearwater that has become grounded, it needs to be taken to a place where it can be cared for and recover before being released at dusk. These birds should not be put back onto the sea or any other water as the seagulls will kill them.
