The Objective 1 Programme has been operating in Pembrokeshire for over four years and has provided over £26 million of funding directly for local projects and over £6 million through indirect grant schemes. The Pembrokeshire Partnership Management Board (PPMB), which runs the Objective 1 Programme in Pembrokeshire, will be holding its Annual Forum on Friday, November 12, between 9.30 am and 2.15 pm in the Queen's Hall, Narberth. Local organisations and the general public are invited to attend to find out what Objective 1 has done in Pembrokeshire and how you or your organisation may benefit. Workshops will be held to discuss the projects that have been funded and what further projects are needed. The workshops are scheduled as follows: 10 am - Human Resources Workshop (Glyn Jones, Pembrokeshire College). 11am - Rural Workshop (Roger Barrett-Evans, Pembrokeshire County Council). 12 noon - Business Workshop (Stephen Cole, Federation of Small Businesses) 1 pm - Community Workshop (Guy Norman, Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services). Throughout the event there will be representatives from successful projects and providers of indirect grant schemes present to answer your questions. These will include the Wales European Funding Office, Wales Council for Voluntary Action, Finance Wales, The National Trust, Cydcoed, Pembrokeshire Business Initiative, Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services, PLANED, Milford Haven Port Authority, Pembrokeshire College, Learning Pembrokeshire, Pembrokeshire County Council and Pembrokeshire Business Eye. The event will also stage the launch of the Pembrokeshire Community Buildings Fund, which will offer grants to improve and enhance community halls and buildings. Clr. John Allen-Mirehouse, the Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration will formally open the Fund at 9.30 am.
