Sir, I am writing to inform you and your readers of the scandalous waste of water on the Castle slipway (leading to Castle Sands). The culprit? A water meter outside the public toilets. Despite numerous phone calls from Dennis's Cafe, and various other bodies, including Clr. Mike Evans, this leak continued to flow for 15 days, yes 15 days. Pembrokeshire County Council knew about it from day one, as did the Water Board, so the next time you hear there may be a hosepipe ban, remind them of the leak on Castle Hill, and how thousands and thousands of litres of water was wasted. And to finish, who is paying for this waste water? After all, it was coming from a meter. All I can say is get ready for a hike in council taxes. PS. As of April 24 (Monday), the leak was fixed. The problem just needed tightening up.

Glyn Davies, Tenby.
