Members of Pembroke Dock, Penally and Newcastle Emlyn Karate Clubs held a very successful course and grading at Newcastle Emlyn Leisure Centre on Sunday, under the control of the West Wales grading panel consisting of Graham Thomas 4th dan, Wayne Hoyland 3rd dan, Jason Randall 2nd dan, Aled Williams 2nd dan, and Tony D'Arcy 1st dan.
Sensei Tony D'Arcy is the organisation representative for the Tenby and Penally area.
Graded 8th kyu: Sian Evans, Kate James, Thomas Coleman, Daniel Sturrock, Tom Cadle, Dylan George, Donna Davies, Michelle Davies, Annwen Jones, Ffion Rees, Vicky Edwards (Jnr.), Philip Horsley.
Graded 7th kyu: Timothy Myles, Alex Balman (Jnr.), Maya Jones, Shane James, Melissa Davies, Martina Davies, Efa Jones, Hayley James, Aled Morgan.
Graded 6th kyu: Kristina Lloyd, Catherine Lloyd, Theo Savage, Daniel Thomas, Martin Davies, James Oakley, Louise Griffiths, Nerys Foster (Jnr.), Leon Mathias.
Graded 4th kyu: Kevin Jones (Jnr.).
Graded 3rd kyu: Jamie Goff, Sophie Turner, Amy Mathias.
Graded 2nd kyu: Elizabeth Howell.
Graded 1st kyu: Carys Reynolds.
There is a karate/martial arts summer training camp in Tenby at the Leisure Centre starting Monday, August 6, for one week. Shinan Greg Wallace 7th dan and the British All Styles Karate Association senior instructors will be in attendance. You are welcome to train or just watch.
Penally Karate Club trains on Wednesday: Juniors - 6.30-7.30 pm; Seniors - 7.30-9 pm.
