The 2021 West Wales Karting Charity Challenge in aid of The Paul Satori Foundation ended Friday night after a fantastic race all the way to the finish.

After a total of 9,212 Laps and thanks to the hard work and generosity of the teams and everyone who donated, the final total raised was a staggering £8,222!

The first week saw 19 teams battle it out over 3 nights for a place in the final. Through the course of the week we saw some of the closest racing ever seen with nights 2 and 3 having lead changes in the last minutes.

Ultimately it was AB Security & Electrical, Riverlea Whitland & Becauseracecarbox who made it through to the final. West Coast Roller Doors managed to set the fastest time of the week with a blistering 20.5 second lap!

Week 2 started with a bang with Rhos Cottage Dental having to fend off Midway Motors for the win on Night 4 with plenty of action going on behind and strategy taking a key role in the first half of the race. Joining them in the final after a tricky Night 5 on a damp track was Folly Farm who managed to hold off Kingsmoor Garage on their return to the Charity Challenge.

William Owen, Fast Track Driving, Pure West Radio and Puffin Produce managed to slip and slide their way to the chequered flag not far behind.

The Grand Final saw defending champions KP Thomas make their first appearance of the event got off to a good start in 2nd place. The lead swapped back and forth between themselves and Rhos Cottage Dental with AB Security & Electrical falling away as the race went on. Riverlea were locked in a race long battle with Becauseracecarbox whilst Folly Farm got involved with the leaders as they came through. Ultimately it was Rhos Cottage Dental who took the overall win and were crowned 2021 West Wales Karting Charity Challenge Champions!
