Tenby Swifts had something to shout about this week after news that Under 11s captain Rob Colley has won a cap to represent West Wales in their annual game against East Wales later on this month.
Rob was chosen to captain the Dyfed side that featured in two trials at Ty Canol, Swansea, and Stradey Park. There was obviously stiff opposition for his position of hooker from districts Bridgend, Swansea and Neath/Swansea Valley, but his raw talent justified his inclusion in the West Wales squad.
It has been a good reason for Tenby Swifts rugby and Rob's progression is largely down to dedicated coaching from Steve Williams and John Handicott. Thanks also to Pembrokeshire Schools coach Andy Gray for his encouragement. Congratulations Rob.
