Greenhill School's Under 14 girls' football team is looking to be crowned Welsh champions at the National Finals of the Minute Maid Welsh Schools Cup on May 9 and 10 at New Saints FC, Oswestry.
The girls have come through a tough national knock-out competition to reach the final and will play Treorchy Comprehensive School, Rhondda, for the title.
The squad (pictured) comprises: Hannah Lewis, Maisie John, Lori Amos, Darcy Escot, Bethan Osborne, Shannon Knowles, Kim Alman, Sam Croft, Jess Webb, Nicole Bevans, Casie Paxton, Holly Furlong, Hannah Taylor, Becky Gwyther and Kirstie Lewis.
Over 180 teams from all over Wales have been competing for the prestigious title of Welsh Schools Champions in eight age-groups.
The competition started in September with 17,000 boys and 4,500 girls competing in regional rounds.
Over the past four months, the winners and runners-up from each region have been battling it out for a place in the finals and the opportunity to experience a national final at a top-class venue.
New Saints FC, Park Hall, Oswestry, has been chosen to host the national finals as the venue boasts one of the advanced football pitches in the country.
Gerry Stacey, director of Coca Cola Enterprises Limited (Wales and West), commented: "We're delighted to see Greenhill in the national finals and wish them every success.
"Coca-Cola Enterprises has a long association with football and we are delighted to be able to continue this support at grassroots level in Wales through the Minute Maid Welsh Schools Cup."
