WELSH rockers the Manic Street Preachers have given a nod to Pembrokeshire on their new album which is due for release in September.

With a taster video for the album's title track 'Rewind The Film' being shot in the South Wales valleys, another song on the release called 'Manorbier' takes inspiration from the area where one member has visited since he was a boy.

Bassist and lyricist Nicky Wire, who owns a flat on Tenby's Paragon, contributed a special audio slideshow to the Guardian newspaper last year, calling it 'Wales Coast Path: A postcard from Tenby by the Manics' where he explains how the resort holds a special place in his heart and how it inspires his lyrics.
