Tenby Golf Club has been chosen to once again host the prestigious Welsh Professional Golfers Championship in 2016. Tenby last held this Championship in September 2006 and is proud to be selected again this year.

The event will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 5 and 6, and will be preceded on the Monday by a Pro Am event. Former Ryder Cup star and honorary Tenby member Phillip Price has already stated his intention to play and should tee it up against former European Open winner Stephen Dodd, along with a list of the best Welsh professionals in the country.

Spectators will be very welcome to come and watch some top class golf free of charge. Teams are still also available for the Pro Am, although they are booking fast. Please contact the Club Office for more details.

Non members are very welcome at the club which has something to offer all golfers and non golfers alike: a friendly comfortable bar/lounge, snooker and pool table, two large screen TVs showing Sky Sports, as well as an outdoor patio/terrace overlooking the golf course.

For those looking to try golf for the first time or returning to it, there is a pitch and putt par three course, and a floodlit driving range, as well as a state-of-the-art teaching studio. Non members are welcome to use any of these facilities, just call at the Professional Shop seven days a week for a bucket of balls and clubs if needed.

The golf course itself still offers a challenge for golfers of any ability, as befits its standing as the Oldest Coure in Wales, playable all year round and still judged to be one of the best courses in Wales in the Rolex World Rankings.

Open to all, The Burrows Restaurant specialises in fresh, seasonal, homemade food, relying heavily on local produce. Our menus are changed daily and are fantastic value for money.

We cater for all dietary requirements, including gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. We serve an excellent Sunday lunch every week, possibly one of the best in the county, bookings are strongly advised. We also serve what we believe to be one of the finest breakfasts around, as well as a superb vegetarian breakfast featuring homemade hash browns and Glamorgan sausage, from 7.30 am every day.
