Over 120 people of all ages and different abilities came to learn Welsh at Pembrokeshire College last week. It concluded with some of the learners participating in a very enjoyable mini Eisteddfod held in the Merlin Theatre (pictured).

"Folks had a great time and really did enjoy themselves," said organiser David Hedley-Williams from Aberystwyth University, "It was great to see the corridors and coffee bar at the college buzzing with Welsh as the 120 or so students mixed and exchanged notes throughout the five days."

A mini Eisteddfod was organised in the Merlin Theatre on the final day and each group was given the opportunity to show off their newly acquired Welsh language skills. In fact, Welsh Learners' Week was such a success that it will be repeated next year.

Some of the positive comments received, included Eira Carr, who is retired, from Pentlepoir, who commented: "The event was well organised and very enjoyable. I will definitely come again next year."
