Ceri Davies is to be the visiting speaker at Penuel Baptist Church, Manorbier (near Jameston) at the quarterly Rally tomorrow (Saturday) at 7.30 pm. When full time in the game, Ceri played for Llanelli and also Bridgend. Currently, he works as a development control officer with Carmarthenshire County Council, but also captains the Llandovery side. Ceri recently appeared on S4C's Dechrau Canu and gave a clear testimony of his personal faith in Christ. Much of his time is spent in studying for his preaching engagements, so the Rally is privileged to be able to arrange this visit. Deborah Fiddy, of Manorbier, is to contribute to the musical programme. Debbie is a wonderfully gifted soprano, singing her spiritually powerful songs in a modern idiom. International singer Peter Bridgens will be the visiting vocalist. Peter has an amazingly rich bass- baritone voice which he uses to telling effect in his gospel presentations. The Rev. Norman Lewis, of Carmel Apostolic Church, Pontarddulais, will also be with present. He is an accomplished organist and will provide the music for the evening. As always the congregational singing will be conducted enthusiastically by the Rev. David Cardwell. Friends old and new are warmly invited to join for a lovely September evening in the beautifully renovated country chapel.
