Congratulations to seven-year-old Daniel James, of Whitland Shotokan Karate Club, pictured here with Sensei James Masterman, for having recently been awarded the Most Improved Student Trophy within the club. He also successfully gained his orange belt in a recent grading examination held by the Karate Union of Great Britain in Bargoed. Whitland Shotokan Karate Club train on the following days: Tuesday in Whitland Primary School, 7 - 8.30 pm; Thursday in Whitland Town Hall, 7 - 8.30 pm; Saturday in Whitland Town Hall, 10 - 11.30 am, also 11.30 - 1 pm for ladies only.
