A project aimed at improving the health of those suffering mental distress has been launched in Pembrokeshire. The Health and Well-Being Matters Project is being run by Pembrokeshire Mind with the support of Health Challenge Pembrokeshire. The new project, which is aimed at both the clients of mental health services and staff, aims to improve the physical, nutritional and emotional health of those taking part. The project will be highlighted as part of this year's MIND Week, which takes place between tomorrow (Saturday) and the following Saturday, May 19. MIND Week aims to raise awareness of issues around mental distress. This year's theme is green exercise and Pembrokeshire MIND will be hosting events on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to highlight the benefits of outdoor activities. Events include a walk, a picnic, kite flying, a beach clean, beachcombing and beach art session. Pembrokeshire MIND, which is part of the leading mental health charity MIND, works to create a better life for those with experience of mental distress. The Pembrokeshire MIND resource centre is based at the Old Wood Market in Quay Street, Haverfordwest, and is open seven days a week.
