WHITLAND nil
RUMNEY nil
Whitland entertained Rumney last Saturday in a rearranged National League division one game.
The final score of 0-0 left some supporters shocked, but the game was a hard fought battle, with forward play to the fore and defences of both teams holding out stubbornly.
The one point earned for the draw now takes the Borderers above the drop zone.
Both sides gave their all throughout, but the difficult conditions underfoot and the strong swirling wind were the only winners on the day.
Whitland had a couple of chances to put some points on the board, but the Rumney defence stood firm.
Whitland fielded: Wayne Lewis, Craig Richards, Domenico Setaro, Mike Buckingham, Steve Hartland, Daniel Griffiths, Robert Phillips, Gareth Williams, Steve Gerrard, Dai Jones, Anthony Jakeman (Dai Ebsworth), Fakataha Molitika, Rob Norton, Phil Morgan (capt.), Randall Williams.
