The world’s last seagoing paddle steamer - the Waverley has had to cancel its return visit to Tenby tomorrow (Tuesday, June 24) due to strong winds forecast.
The Waverley’s sailing on Tuesday, June 24 has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the forecast strength of winds and predicted wave height which would make the cruise ‘uncomfortable for passengers’ - organisers of the trip have stated today (June 23).
“We do apologise for cancelling this cruise, particularly given it was Waverley’s only visit to Tenby this year,” said a spokesperson.
“With the strength and direction of winds forecast the cruising route would be exposed for much of the journey to Tenby and onward to Milford Haven. Those passengers pre-booked will be contacted.”
It is planned that Waverley will sail direct to Fishguard for Wednesday’s sailing.
