Young Pembrokeshire water polo players are hoping to make a big splash in their new Welsh League when competition begins in the next few weeks. The 30 members of Pembrokeshire Water Polo Club have just received cash support from Western Power Distribution (WPD) which is being used to provide a range of essential kit and equipment, and will help them hone their skills. The club is based at Pembroke Leisure Centre and has two sections of junior players - for under 15s and 16 to 19-year-olds, and a senior side for the over 20s. "We've got some really dedicated youngsters in our ranks - like four of our juniors, 15-year-olds Jamie Taylor, Tom Ross and Sion Ace, and 16-year-old Matthew Veale, who are involved with the Welsh national junior squad," explained club member, Peter Ross. "The support from WPD has been the perfect motivation to spur us on to success in the coming season when we will be competing in the Welsh League," he said.
