Pembroke Dock Neighbourhood Policing Team are warning shopkeepers to be on their guard after a potential scam operating in the area. People are purchasing items worth about £1 and giving a £20 note to pay for the item. Once the change has been given, the cashier's attention is drawn somewhere else and the £10 note from the change has gone missing. The person then is demanding the £10 that they are being short changed of. Police are advising people in the area to be more vigilant, and advise that if you know you are correct to stay persistent, and to contact the local police.
