An electric atmosphere welcomed Ironman Wales once again as Tenby and Pembrokeshire paid host to the spectacular sporting triathlon.

With Ironkids entrants braving the brutal Tenby rain on Saturday to get their own magic red carpet moment along The Esplanade finishing line; Sunday saw a much finer day for the main event, with more than 2,700 competitors taking to the North Beach ready to ‘face the dragon’ and enter the sea at 7.25am.

From there, athletes took on the 112 mile bike course around Pembrokeshire, before pounding the streets of the seaside town for the 26.2 mile marathon.

The UK’s Lewis Eccleston was crowned the 2025 men’s winner; while Franziska Hoffmann from Germany crossed to become the pro women’s champion.
