Tenby coastguard rescue team was tasked to Castle Beach, Tenby, last Wednesday, when a lady from Caerphilly, on holiday in the resort, was stung by a wasp. Fortunately, she knew she would have an allergic reaction and carried a pen syringe for such incidents. But unfortunately, a member of the public who went to her assistance was not so adept at handling the instrument and managed to inject his own hand. An ambulance crew also attended and with the coastguards administered first aid. The lady was taken to Withybush Hospital for a check-up, while the man was allowed to go home after being treated on scene.
