The winners of a creative writing competition about the Second World War have been presented with their prizes. Pembrokeshire County Council chairman, Clr. Clive Collins, handed out the awards at a presentation evening at County Hall recently. The competition was part of a recent groundbreaking bilingual exhibition about the Second World War. It inspired scores of Pembrokeshire people to put pen to paper. The winners were: Eleven and under: 1. Emilia Belli (£100); 2. Ffion Williams (£50); 3. Megan Phillips (£25). Twelve - 17 years: 1. Meg Mathieson (£100); 2. Heather Coles-Riley (£50); 3. Heledd Gwynn (£25). Eighteen years and over: 1. Robert Nisbet (£100); 2. Judith Williams Francis (£50); 3. Jane Davies (£25).
