The fifth Clonc Mawr, which means Big Chat, was held on Saturday when a group walked from Manorbier to Freshwater East.
The Clonc Mawr is a walk for adults who are learning Welsh and for the Welsh speakers who want to help them, and offers adults who are learning Welsh an opportunity to use their Welsh and an opportunity to walk the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
There is one Clonc Mawr every month for 80 months as they walk a small part of the Coast Path every month. This means that the Clonc Mawr will take six-and-a-half years.
The next Clonc Mawr is on Saturday, August 29, when the group will walk from Freshwater East (11 am start in the car park, on the right, just past the Freshwater Inn) to Stackpole Quay (arrive 3 pm). The walkers will have a picnic on the way and meet in the cafe in Stackpole Quay at 3 pm.
