UK MARATHON walker Clive Walker, of Stonelea, New Hedges, has given local diabetic departments the proceeds from his last marathons. The total figure of £2,575 was distributed to the child health department at Withybush and the diabetic clinic at Tenby Surgery. Paediatric sister Phil Davies received £2000 from Clive to help purchase a 72-hour blood glucose monitor for children and adults. Practice nurse Mrs. Judith Roblin received a cheque for £575 which will be used to purchase necessary day-to-day equipment for her busy diabetic clinic in Tenby. The president of Tenby and District Diabetes UK, Mr. Edward Harries, gave a £500 boost from the branch to Withybush and 17-year-old diabetic patient Heather Leese had already raised a further £600 from 'T' shirt sales and coffee mornings, again for Withybush, as she has recently pioneered the new monitor. The picture shows the presentation of £2,500 to sister Phil Davies.
