The above photograph shows long distance walker Clive Lewis, of New Hedges, presenting a cheque for £3,030 to the staff of the Argyle Medical Group at Pembroke Dock.
The other two clinics which make up the group are in Pembroke and Neyland, and this amount will purchase:
• A coagucheck XS plus Warfarin checking unit for all the heart patients.
• A Sentinel 24-hour blood pressure machine.
• Four diabetic foot testing kits.
• Four diabetes diagnostic testing tuning forks.
These units will take the total machines Clive has funded over many years to 76.
The UK walker has well over 13,000 supporters in the county and meeting many more new ones each time.
He is now preparing for his 19th series of walks.
When the overnight complimentary or cut-price stays are secured, the sponsored footwear and mapping available, he will set the dates.
In the photograph, from left, are Dr. W. Simukonda, GP partner; Juliet Goldsworthy, practice manager; Clive Lewis, fundraiser; Marina Morgan, lead nurse; Jan Davies, specialist respiratory nurse.
Clive thanks all his sponsors for their patience, their friendliness and most of all for their generous financial support.
