A good turnout is expected at the Llys y Frân Reservoir on Sunday, June 3, for Diabetes UK's annual fund-raising and awareness-raising Walk in the Park, one of eight walks in Wales this year. The walk will begin at 2 pm at the Visitor Centre, with staff and volunteers from Diabetes UK on hand to distribute refreshments for those taking part. Each year, walks in Wales raise thousands of pounds for diabetes research and information. The walks also promote Diabetes UK's message about the importance of sensible exercise. This year's walks are being supported for the third year running by the pharmaceutical company, Sanofi Aventis. If you're interested in taking part in the walk at Llys y Frân, contact local organiser, Maureen Worcester, on 01834 812025 or 812491.
