Wales’ solar hotspots revealed as Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, and Powys dominate.

Energy experts at E.ON UK have analysed GOV.UK data to determine which locations have the highest number of residential solar panel installations across Wales.

Powys ranks as the leading location in Wales for solar panel installations, with 9,011 installations in total. This corresponds to an adoption rate of 15%.

Carmarthenshire follows with 8,864 solar panel systems across 81,800 households. The resulting adoption rate of around 11% reflects strong community participation in renewable energy.

Pembrokeshire’s 8,007 installations are spread across 55,500 households. This yields an adoption rate of about 14%.

Ceredigion ranks tenth with 5,413 installations among 30,900 households, representing an adoption rate of nearly 18%.
