Jim Goodwin, chairman of Wales in Bloom, stated that the national campaign was important for the image of Wales, through community involvement, horticulture, and environmental improvements, and also the It’s Your Neighbourhood Campaign.
He paid tribute to Wolfcastle’s success in the national Britain in Bloom competition, and wished this year’s entrants, Colwyn Bay, Mathern with Pwllmeyric and Mounton, Golgarth (Part of Llandudno) and Tenby, well.
Finally, he referred to the importance of caravan and leisure home entries, and thanked all other entrants for their continued interest.
