PICTURED is Daniel Birch, grandson of Raydene Deakin, of Saundersfoot, who has made it to the finals of Mr. Wales 2011 to be held in Cardiff on July 2.

Daniel, who is currently working as a fisherman in Aberystwyth, lived in Saundersfoot for 10 years.

Part of the competition is to raise money for the Joshua Foundation for children with cancer and Daniel would like to ask people to donate if they could and give it to his gran who lives at Alray, The Ridgeway, Saundersfoot, before June 27.

"This cancer charity is very dear to me as I lost my grandad earlier this year to cancer," said Daniel.
