Members and guests of the Tenby Visually Impaired People Group enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Gower Hotel, Saundersfoot, last Tuesday, instead of the usual monthly meeting at the Avenue, Centre, Tenby.

Chairman, John Webb, extended a warm welcome, explaining it had been agreed to have a lunch in September rather than the usual Christmas one in December when everyone was so busy and involved with other similar events.

Following the meal, project worker, Elly Morgan, thanked Margaret Walker and Betty Gordon, for their hard work in organising and co-ordinating the arrangements, members from Tenby and Saundersfoot Ineer Wheel Clubs who provide welcome refreshments throughout the year, and Saundersfoot Rotary Club for their help with transport. Staff at the Gower Hotel were also congratulated on an excellent meal.

Members then enjoyed playing domino bingo, the winners, being Geoff and Edna, Reg and Kate and Mavis and Gwen.

Everyone agreed it had been a most enjoyable afternoon, members making their way home or climbing aboard the Pembrokeshire Blind Society minibus.

The next meeting is on Tuesday, October 16, and any visually impaired person in the locality is welcome to come along by contacting Margaret Walker on 843464.
