The Evans household from Clarbeston Road couldn't believe their luck recently when told they had won a Stone computer as a result of visiting a Pembrokeshire College Open Day last year - especially as they were in the process of replacing their old computer. The winner, Richard Evans, collected his prize on his 17th birthday and commented that he was 'really pleased' to win the computer. Richard, who is at Sir Thomas Picton School, is considering his career options at the moment and will probably apply to start the National Diploma in Media course at college in September as this will give him a clear route to progress to a university course or work. Assistant principal, Dr. Barry Walters, said: "Once again we have teamed up with Stone Computers - our suppliers of industry-standard IT equipment to the college - to offer a computer for the prize draw." The lucky winner will be randomly chosen from all the people who completed a registration card at one of this academic year's open day events. The next Pembrokeshire College open day will be on Saturday, January 21, from 10 am until 2 pm.
