Sir,
Your readers are being asked to contribute to a vital debate on what future the people of Wales want for the National Assembly for Wales.
The All Wales Convention is in the middle of a wide programme of consultation with people throughout Wales on their views about how Wales should gain further primary law-making powers.
The outcome of the debate will have a fundamental impact on how Wales is governed, and therefore on daily lives. There are many opportunities to get informed and to be engaged in our work.
We want the debate to be full and lively, and to capture all views from anyone who wishes to participate from anywhere in Wales.
More information on the subject is available at our website http://www.allwalesconvention.org">www.allwalesconvention.org. And anyone wishing to feed in views directly can do so now by emailing [email protected]">[email protected] or 'phoning 029 2089 8187.
The convention is an independent body set up by the Welsh Assembly Government to provide information on the current devolution settlement and to stimulate the widest possible debate.
We are still on course to present our report in late 2009, which will be a balanced view of the arguments around further law-making powers, based on the views expressed to us.
Sir Emyr Jones Parry,
Chairman,
All Wales Convention.
