Filming for a tourism promotional video CD got underway last week when Edinburgh-based Hee Haw productions spent four days filming video clips in Pembrokeshire.
The CD has been commissioned by the Pembrokeshire Marketing Consortium using funding from the National Assembly of Wales, provided by Pembrokeshire County Council's Foot and Mouth recovery fund.
The consortium of 11 tourism businesses will be using the grant money over the next eight or nine months to rebuild the confidence of potential visitors to Pembrokeshire and trying to persuade them to visit throughout the year.
This initiative is one part of a much bigger campaign designed to benefit all of tourism businesses in Pembrokeshire.
The Consortium are convinced that Pembrokeshire can become an all year round destination and this CD gives an opportunity to show just how beautiful Pembrokeshire is and the superb service that the County offers.
The filming schedule has covered every corner of Pembrokeshire from Newport to Newgale, from Amroth to Angle and included activities, attractions, accommodation, crafts and nightlife as well as the spectacular scenery.
The weather during the filming was fantastic and should show off the county's assets at their best.
Said Deborah Rossiter, manager of FBM Holidays, one of the Consortium members: "Pembrokeshire is not only firmly on the tourism map but is now on CD! The Pembrokeshire Marketing Consortium have commissioned the promotional video CD as a part of a large campaign to sell Pembrokeshire as an all year round mecca for tourism."
Alan Turner, Tourism Marketing and Development Manager, Pembrokeshire County Council commented: "The CD is a really innovative idea and should prove to be a very effective way of introducing the delights of Pembrokeshire to potential visitors."
