CONGRATULATIONS to John O'Neil who recently received an award from HRH The Princess Royal in recognition of over 10 years service as a volunteer for the Victim Support charity in Wales.

John, who is from Pembroke, and has worked for the Victim Support charity for 14 years, covering South and Mid Pembrokeshire, received the award from Princess Anne recently at the 'Victim Support Cymru Volunteer Award Ceremony' held at Cardiff's St. David's Hotel, which was held to recognise the work of the charity's volunteers.

Princess Anne is the patron of the charity that offers support for victims and witnesses of crime in England and Wales.

The charity is always looking for volunteers and has an office located at St. Thomas Green in Haverfordwest. Anyone interested in helping, can contact volunteer co-ordinator manager Alan Pearce on 01554 775187.
