CONGRATULATIONS to Ruth Elizabeth Morris, who has recently gained her veterinary nursing certificate after four years at the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

Ruth is the youngest daughter of Chris and Ross Morris, of Broadfield, New Hedges. Her passion for animal welfare was realised during early childhood when she chose to become a vegetarian aged five due to informed choice.

During school work experience at Folly Farm, Ruth helped deliver piglets and became affectionately known as not the midwife, but the 'pigwife'.

Working full-time and studying at a Swansea practice, Ruth also undertook private studies in animal behaviour, exotics and mammals. She is passionate about ecological and environmental issues.

Her sisters Sarah, Victoria and Helen, along with her parents, family and friends wish Ruth a fantastic fruitful future in her chosen vocational career.
