Despite all the hard work put in by the volunteers of the East Williamston Jubilee Park to keep it both an area for play, walking and relaxation, as well as a haven for wildlife, there has been some unfortunate vandalism.

Not only have signs, detailing the birds and flowers to be seen, been damaged, but trees and shrubs have been broken off.

Members of the volunteers and other visitors to the park are very disappointed, but will keep on working in the hope that those who are doing the damage will come to appreciate the area - and perhaps put their energies into the enjoyable work rather than damaging it!

The next get-together will be tomorrow (Saturday) and will start with a short walk round the park explaining what needs to be done and how the park is developing. If anyone is interested, they should meet at the bus stop in East Williamston at 10.30 tomorrow (Saturday).
