Cara Joyce John, formerly of Jameston, was recently promoted to Cryptologic Technician Petty Officer Third Class in the United States Navy.

Cara is a graduate of the New Life Christian Academy of Sharon, Massachusetts. She enlisted with the US Navy in July, 2002, and graduated from the Communications Signals Collection and Processing Course at the Naval Technical Training Center, Corey Station, Pensacola, Florida.

Cara is the daughter of Martin John, formerly of Jameston, and Carla Huntington, of Norwood, MA, USA.

Her grandmother Florence Jones is a resident of Jameston and she is the niece of Alan and Marlene Collins, of Lydstep, and Vernon John, of Yorkshire.

She is currently stationed at Kunia, Hawaii.
