A call for Narberth's CCTV camera to be installed as soon as possible has been made this week. Now that planning permission for the system has been granted, the town's representative on Pembrokeshire County Council, Clr. Wynne Evans, is demanding the camera on Natwest Bank in High Street to be installed by the end of next month. His call comes after an incident at 17 High Street during the early hours of Tuesday morning. "If the CCTV system had been installed, the police would have caught the incident on camera," said Clr. Evans. "I am making moves for the installation of the system to be speeded along and I hope the camera will be set up and operational by the end of July." FOOTNOTE: Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested and charged with an allegation of burglary at the premises.
