Unlawful ‘squatters’ who were told that they could not carry on camping at a site overlooking one of Tenby’s picturesque beaches, left a trail of litter behind them, including dirty sanitary towels and sex toys!

Pembrokeshire County Council, Tenby town council and the local police authority all liaised last week in trying to remove the persons responsible for pitching two tents on the walkway down to Tenby’s North Beach, alongside the harbour area, with the authorities making it clear that camping at this location was unlawful as it was public land.

Now Pembrokeshire County Council have posted pictured of the litter left behind at the location, which the authority said included - dirty sanitary towels, sex toys and bags of soiled toilet paper. The ‘campers’ had had also lit fires and thrown rubbish down the bank.

A clean up of the area has since been made and the rubbish/belongings disposed of.
