Tenby United were in the pink on Saturday!

The 1st XV donned pink shirts to promote awareness of two charities - Breast Cancer Awareness and Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) - when they entertained Pembroke at Heywood Lane.

Main club sponsor is Chevron, but this special kit was sponsored by Nigel Edwards, of Right Price Caravans, as breast cancer awareness is a charity close to his heart.

And the kit certainly brought the Seasiders good fortune as they ran out 21-3 winners.

The pink attire will be worn by Tenby United during future charity games and as a change of kit.

As well as the match, the Tenby rugby fund-raising team played host to over 100 people for a black tie and evening dress charity dinner dance held at the De Valence Pavilion later that evening.

It was an extravagant and classy evening which made a tremendous amount of money for Tenby United RFC's two adopted charities.

Every little detail was thought of, with thorough care from the venue's decoration to the fabulous auction lots, which included a Cardiff Blues rugby shirt signed by all the players and a Haven Holidays short break anywhere in the UK.

There were also amazing raffle prizes from beauty treatments to leisure tickets.

Entertainment on the evening was also spectacular, kicking-off with Dai 'the Boot', who presented the auction and raffle, followed by the local band Frantic 5 and Friends.

Laughter then roared through the venue from the guests when a comedian from Swansea took to the stage. He was followed by a return performance from Frantic 5 and Friends, while Top Banana DJ finished off a perfect evening.
