Recently, the United Churches of Saundersfoot participated in the Christmas Market activities by once again being invited to have a Nativity scene at the event. Friends from the churches served light refreshments on Friday and Saturday at Thomas Memorial Church. There was also a stall selling books and gifts. In the church on Saturday morning, pupils of Miss Helen Standing formed a youth orchestra to play carols and Christmas songs. Nearly every pew was filled as people came to enjoy the carols and warm hospitality. The orchestra will be playing again at the Family Carol Service at Hebron Baptist Church, at 11 am this Sunday, December 16. The churches will join together for a United Carol Service at 11 am on December 23 and at 6 pm for the Christingle Service at St. Issell's. On Christmas morning, the churches will join for worship at Thomas Memorial Church at 10.30 am. Each of the churches also has its own programme of services and activites, which are advertised in the Observer and around Saundersfoot village. You will be assured of a warm welcome.
