FORMER Greenhill School pupils Simon Worley and Mike Griffiths have recently been making a television commercial for Time Life Records.
'Status Quo – The Ultimate Collection' which is due for release later this year will include all the band's greatest hits, some tracks from their latest album 'Heavy Traffic' - currently in the album charts - and some rare unreleased BBC recordings from the '70s.
The commercial, scripted and directed by Simon, features Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt disagreeing over which are their favoured songs on the collection and will also feature Status Quo playing live in some of their most famous concerts.
"We all had a good joke with each other and got on very well; I think this helped Francis and Rick's performance and the commercial," said Simon.
Mike Griffiths is the creative director for Sanctuary Visual Entertainment who specialise in music commercials and Simon Worley, who has recently been directing commercials for Sanctuary, is pictured here with Francis and Rick during filming.
Simon and Mike have been friends since Greenhill School and have also recently completed 'Simply the Best of the 90s' with Michaela Strachan.
The 'Ultimate Collection' commercial will be broadcast on UK television on Boxing Day and the rest of the world early in the New Year in time for Status Quo's forthcoming world tour.
Sadly, Simon and Mike's client, Lucy Empson from Time Life Music, was tragically killed in the recent Bali bomb attack.
